Gutter Guards in Huntsville

Micro-mesh and screens are not the same product

A plastic or metal screen stops big oak leaves and little else. Pine needles stand on end and slip through the openings. Shingle grit washes straight past. Both settle in the bottom of the gutter and pack down into a mat that holds water.

Stainless micro-mesh is woven fine enough to shed needles and grit while rain passes through the surface. That is the difference between a gutter you check and a gutter you dig out.

What guards will not do

No guard is zero maintenance, and we will not tell you otherwise. Debris still lands on top of the mesh. Most of it dries and blows off, but a heavy canopy can leave a layer that needs a rinse or a soft brush.

What changes is the work. Instead of scooping a packed trough by hand, you are looking at a surface you can clear from the ground with a hose in most cases.

Who gets the most out of them

Guards pay off fastest in three situations:

On larger or steeper roofs we usually talk about 6" gutters and bigger downspouts at the same time, since guards do not help if the gutter is undersized for the water it collects.

• Homes under heavy tree cover, especially pines
• Two-story homes where a ladder is a real risk
• Anyone who has decided they are done climbing

Cost, timing, and what happens when you call

Guard pricing depends on the length of gutter and the mesh you choose, so we measure before we give you a number. For reference, most seamless gutter installs run $10 to $15 per foot, and guards are quoted alongside that work in writing. We do not quote a total for your home over the phone.

Most homes are finished in one day. Scheduling takes 50% down with the balance at completion, and financing is available. Workmanship is covered for 2 years, with the manufacturer warranty on the materials.
